Mashable.com, the leading source for news on social and digital media, declared June 30 as Social Media Day to “acknowledge and celebrate the revolution of media becoming social.” They reported that there were over 600 Meetup celebrations in 93 countries attended by thousands that day. I attended the event at Ivy Restaurant in Wheaton, Illinois, which was organized by Angel Oakley of Unicatis Marketing Group.
