PromoWithPurposeShop.com, a shopsite of Thorne Communications, is a sponsor of the 2011 Event Camp National Conference scheduled for February 11-13, 2011, at the Catalyst Ranch in Chicago. Event Camp “is the world’s first industry gathering of its kind, a ‘BarCamp-style‘ conference. [Their] ongoing mission is to bring together like-minded professionals, to share best practices, and learn new strategies, for leveraging social media and technology to create enhanced event experiences.”

With the goal of sharing strategies for leveraging social media, the Event Camp organizers have brought together a cast of social media superstars to headline the event including Chris Brogan, Liz Strauss, and Sarah Evans (Editor Note: Sarah recently had to cancel her participation.). Also, Grammy & Emmy nominated, CMA & ACM award winning songwriter Billy Kirsch of Kidbilly Music, will lead attendees in creating and recording an official EventCamp song.
