Thorne Communications’ PromoWithPurposeShop.com, an online promotional product shopsite featuring greener and more socially responsible selections, is offering two new collections that make donations to worthy causes with purchase.
The Hope Collection features seven popular products that make a donation to Habitat for Humanity with every purchase. Ten percent of the sales revenues through December 31, 2011 will be donated to the charity which undertakes projects that help eliminate poverty housing. The EcoSmart collection, featuring 25 different items, donates a portion of the proceeds to Global ReLeaf® – American Forests’ education and action program “that helps individuals and groups improve the local and global environment by planting and caring for trees.”
“To make green and socially responsible programs work, it needs to be easy for people to participate,” says Heidi Thorne, founder of Thorne Communications and the PromoWithPurposeToday.com blog. “That’s why we’ve showcased these special collections on PromoWithPurposeShop.com so that corporate gift buyers can easily make a holiday choice to give that also gives back.”
Featured on the PromoWithPurposeShop.com shopsite are more than 150 promotional items that were chosen because they met one or more of the following criteria: reusable, recyclable, recycled, organic, biodegradable, fair trade, made in the USA, or make a donation to a worthy effort.
To assist marketers and promotional product buyers with determining how “green” their choices really are, Thorne Communications has developed a free downloadable Green Promo Score Sheet that helps to compare up to three selections side-by-side.
